A playthrough of Capcom’s 1992 NES game, Capcom’s Gold Medal Challenge ’92.

With the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Rio today, I thought an olympics game would be fun to go with. Granted, this Track & Field style button-masher is 24 years old and set in Barcelona, but hey, it’s the spirit that counts, right?

So this Capcom olympics title feels somewhere between Track & Field and T&F2. It’s way better than the first, and can’t touch the second. Still, there’s a lot of fun to be had getting thumb blisters with this one.

  1. Loved this game!! 4 players game with friends was amazing. Marathon was hard but I finally understood how to win.. 😀

  2. Most fun party game on NES if you got people that know whats going on. Had one of my friends break 1:50 in the marathon

  3. Nintendo should set up a record system for most, if not all its games on the Virtual Console. It's fun trying to be the best… almost impossible, but fun. I'd be good at Mega Man 2, so long as they don't allow "zips" through the game. Cheating bastards.
