A playthrough of Capcom’s 1992 NES game, Capcom’s Gold Medal Challenge ’92.
With the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Rio today, I thought an olympics game would be fun to go with. Granted, this Track & Field style button-masher is 24 years old and set in Barcelona, but hey, it’s the spirit that counts, right?
So this Capcom olympics title feels somewhere between Track & Field and T&F2. It’s way better than the first, and can’t touch the second. Still, there’s a lot of fun to be had getting thumb blisters with this one.

Capcom should port this on mobile for Japan Olympics 2021. That would be pretty awesome and would be a success
Loved this game!! 4 players game with friends was amazing. Marathon was hard but I finally understood how to win.. 😀
Played this a lot as a kid, although my friend and I both used turbo controllers.

I played that game before when I was in elementary school.
joguei muito esse jogo!!!
Nintendo should set up a record system for most, if not all its games on the Virtual Console. It's fun trying to be the best… almost impossible, but fun. I'd be good at Mega Man 2, so long as they don't allow "zips" through the game. Cheating bastards.
Never heard of this game.
back when capcom made good games
something about capcoms soundtracks up to ps2 is magical.
Keiji Inafune of Mega Man fame did work on this game, but who did the music and sounds for this game?
Hey why you leave Canada out?? Rages like only a true Canadian can
I need to play that on a emulator because it looks fun
This is a surprisingly fun party game.
I remember this game, I used to love the marathon.
