  1. The story sounds like an awesome combination of David Lynch and Lovecraft. Gotta play it some time

  2. Earthbound is a combination of all of those dreams we had where random shit happens and often don't make sense that is somehow we barely remember parts of.

  3. 22:37 I completed Earthbound yet I never knew that Paula, Jeff or Poo could take the lead while Ness is dead.

  4. I legit almost cried like a bitch during the flashback part in the game, especially with that melancholic piano rendition of the Eight Melodies playing in the background. Seeing it again made me emotional.

  5. if you watch the lore of earthbound what i say might be a little more explainable ,i think since that giygas could not contain his psi powers he was trying to reincarnate himself and then he would have love to balence, counter and charge his psi. what i was saying about him not containing his powers at the end of earthbound begings or mother 1 giygas could not hold himself together and lost his form.

  6. Some kid told me that he had a oversized box full of video games and it had Dr Jekeyll and Mr Hyde 10:07

  7. This really makes me want to see your opinion on MOTHER 3. There's a phenomenal English fan translation out there and it fixes a lot of the pacing issues that you mentioned. It's tone is similar, but overall a little darker, and (while it has its flaws) I think it's the strongest out of the trilogy.
(my personal favorite is MOTHER 1 / Earthbound Beginnings however)

  8. What was the text speed set to? The text speed makes a huge difference in this game. Battles become better due to turns going faster, and you can pretty much read things at your own pace.
